Hello and Happy Monday, gang!
I am having a really scatter-brained start to the week so this will be a “Random Thoughts” edition.

Halloween. Love it, love it, love it. Always have. We didn’t throw a party, attend one, or even dress up this year but I loved seeing all of your PhotoLink pics – your kids are adorable and there were some really clever and cute costumes. Is there a year that stands out in your mind? A costume or party or haunted house that you’ll never forget? I really loved the year Michael left it up to me to pick out costumes and we ended up as Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. Michael spent the whole night sweating to death in a full-length furry costume complete with gloves and a hat. Hee, hee, hee.

Speaking of Halloween, did you catch SoundOff Sunday night? Priceless. If you missed it, check out the segments posted online.

Also online, a great article about Murph that appeared in Saturday’s Des Moines Register. http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20091031/LIFE/910310303/-1/archive
It’s always nice to read nice things about nice people, and Keith and his wife Jenny are wonderful.

Can the Hawkeyes make fans any more nervous that they did last weekend? I almost stopped watching the game … glad I didn’t! What an amazing comeback. Fun to watch.

I love the AMC series “Mad Men.”

I’m becoming germ-phobic. I am washing my hands constantly and opening doors with paper towels. It started with all the H1N1 hoopla but got even worse when I read an article in a fitness magazine. A young mother took swabs of just about everything in her home and office and delivered them to a lab where they were tested for just about everything under the sun. Yuck, yuck, yuck! This gal is a clean freak and a germ freak and the results were still disgusting.

13 CARES this week is about a young guy who has dedicated his life to saving the lives of others. I hope you’ll tune in Wednesday at 6, or watch online. You can see our stories and submit your own ideas under the “As Seen On 13” tab.

The clock is ticking and I am running behind. I apologize for this tardy post and any spelling and grammar errors contained within it!

Have a great week!
