Giving Thanks

Hello and Happy Monday, gang.
First – I am thankful for your many posts, emails and facebook notes regarding the passing of my friend Diane. It’s been a rough few weeks, but getting better.

What are you giving thanks for this week? And I mean other than a big fat bird on the table? Start making a list … it’s nice to think about what’s great in your life as opposed to constantly crabbing around about what stinks. I came up with this little list in a hot second and could easily spend the rest of the night adding to it:

My husband
My family
My friends
My cat
My good health
My new vaccuum
My jobs
My colleagues
My house

You get the idea.

All of us here at Channel 13 are also grateful for the arrival of reporter Aaron Brilbeck. If you see Aaron out in the field, give him a warm Iowa welcome.

Have a wonderful week – and holiday!

Ok, this is not related to your post but just had to tell you that channel 13 holiday commercials are always a favorite of mine. I love getting a little glimpse of each of you on personal rather than professional sides. I love seeing how you celebrate, things your thankful for etc… but I do have to let you know that the ad in which you explain that Santa was late, etc… and you yelled out “Because Santa's not REAL!” is a bit disappointing. Our children are often around the tv while my husband and I are watching and of course we always watch WHO 🙂 We love that Ed has Santa on the doppler…adds to the magic even though we stress the true meaning of the season, Santa is still, but not solely a part of our Christmas celebration. Sincerly, Kristy
