The former Floyd County attorney who lost his job when his law license was suspended can now practice law in Iowa again.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board reinstated Jess Marzen’s license last week following a hearing. No opposition was given by the board to keep Marzen from practicing law.

Marzen was elected in 2006 as Floyd County’s attorney, but ethics complaints claiming he had a sexual relationship with a client prior to his election caused Marzen’s law license to be suspended. He was unable to perform the duties of his job because of the suspension.
