Iowa lawmakers at the Statehouse are preparing to debate the budget this week.

Monday afternoon the House and Senate appropriations committees are meeting to discuss budget issues.

The House is discussing the health and human services budget. The Senate is discussing funding for several state agencies including Administrative Services, Department of Commerce, and the Department of Revenue.

Floor debates in both the House and Senate will take up most of the rest of the week.
