SUNDAY STABBING: Man Stabbed at Downtown Bar

A man is in the hospital after he was stabbed Sunday morning in downtown Des Moines.
It happened just after 4 a.m. at 217 E. 2nd at Club A.M.

Police responded to Club A.M. and found 22-year-old Francisco Zambrano-Vega with multiple stab wounds.

Francisco was transported to Mercy Hospital where he’s in stable condition.

Responding officers saw a vehicle leaving the area driving erratic.  After a short chase, officers eventually stopped the vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle fled on foot but was later apprehended.

The driver, 23-year-old Sergio Perez was arrested for OWI 2nd.

Officers also found 17-year-old Jesus Espinoza inside the vehicle. After speaking with witnesses, Espinoza was arrested for Attempted Murder.

Twenty two-year-old Rogelio Tapia was also arrested and charged with Attempted Murder.
