Wells Fargo Arena is getting ready for a big crowd Monday night as it hosts a Women’s NCAA Elite Eight game.

Over the weekend, Des Moines’ attendance rate was the highest of any regional game, with more than 8,000 fans per game.

Monday night, Baylor takes on Tennessee. Earlier this season Baylor won by 9-points.

A Tennessee loss could mark the end of the road for legendary coach Pat Summitt. She admitted last year that she has early onset dementia. No official announcement has been made though.

The big match-up at the Well is expected to draw in a bunch of fans.

“Ticket sales were going strong beforehand, and then once Tennessee won the first game and Baylor came through and won the second game, the box office was busy after those games. And they were open yesterday and we’re anticipating a huge crowd tonight, and we couldn’t be more excited about the game,” says Adam Flack with the Iowa Events Center.

Tip-off is at 6:00 p.m. as Baylor and Tennessee battle for a spot in the Final Four.

Tickets are still available.
