The Iowa House passed a bill Wednesday that will help Iowans returning from war.

The bill would create a committee to study a dual diagnosis treatment program for post-traumatic stress and substance abuse.

The committee would be required to report back to the general assembly next January.

The Senate already passed the bill, but the House made changes to it so it must now go back to the Senate for approval.
