The Des Moines Playhouse presented a version of "The Wizard of Oz" as most have never seen, or heard it, before.

"The Final Act Ensemble" presented the classic children's story as a radio play live on stage Tuesday evening.

More than a dozen actors filled the stage to play all the characters as well as providing sound effects and background music; and just like real radio, there were commercial breaks.

The Final Act Ensemble is comprised of metro seniors. They perform original versions of classic radio plays, like the Wizard of Oz at the Des Moines Playhouse.
