PRICE OF POLITICS, ETC: Drunk on Tractor, Kills Man
Saturday, we knew the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation wanted to talk to partiers who got together and drank at a home in rural Dexter. Authorities had found a man dead lying on a gravel road. Authorities said at the time the public wasn’t in any danger and seemed to be pretty confident they would figure out what happened. It didn’t take them long. Sunday, they said they made an arrest. One Menlo man is now accused of getting drunk, getting on a tractor and then running over and killing another man from Menlo.

Arrest Made in Guthrie County Death Investigation
Dexter, IOWA — Last night Mike Beeler, 21, of Menlo, Iowa was arrested and charged with Vehicular Homicide due to intoxication (B felony), Vehicular Homicide due to recklessness (C felony), Leaving the Scene of a fatality accident (D felony), Criminal Mischief (Aggravated Misdemeanor), and OWI 1st. He is being held on $25,000 cash bond in the Guthrie County Jail.
