The investigation into a shooting involving two Boone police officers is complete.

The county attorney's office says officers Korie Barber and John Wiebold were justified in firing on 48-year-old Brian Johnson.

The shooting happened on March 24th. The officers say Johnson threatened them with a gun as they tried to chase him down.

Both officers fired multiple shots, seriously injuring Johnson. He was airlifted to a Des Moines hospital and has since been released.
