A metro puppy stolen Friday is back home safe and sound.

The man who bought him saw our newscast and knew he had to help get the puppy home.

Someone broke into Mandy and Rita Mason's home Friday and took their dog Beast.

The intruders took Rita's TV, computer, and I-pod, but the only thing she was worried about was Beast.

Rita took her plea to Facebook, and hung up posters around town, but it was our story on Today in Iowa Saturday morning that caught the attention of a man who bought Beast for $200 in a car wash parking lot Friday.

He recognized Beast and called police.

The Mason's say they are installing an alarm system.  And they're putting a GPS chip on Beast so they always know where he is.
