BIKE MONTH: Commuter Of The Year
Each bike month, the community names a commuter of the year. This year it’s Chad Ulrick.
He took up cycling 4-years-ago and started riding to work every day a year and a half ago. And he does it, even during the winter!
Biking to work eventually made him change career paths. He recently left his job as a furniture salesman, so he could serve cyclists at a popular trail bar.
He says, “I’m at an atypical job right now. I am cooking 3 days a week at Cumming Tap. I’m doing chicken wings and a grill basically out there.”
Ulrick says anyone can bike to work, but he recommends have the right gear: a helmet and bike lights.
