CALLENDER DEATH: Fatal Accidental Shooting

Webster County officials say the Wednesday shooting death of a man appears to be a tragic accident.

Emergency crews were called to 406 Agnes Street in Callender around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived 47-year-old Randy Dean Taylor was found with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge where he died from his injuries.

The Webster County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to look into the shooting but say they believe it was accidental in nature and no foul play was involved.

An autopsy is planned.
