Crews recovered the body of a missing guidance counselor at Wapsipinicon State Park near Anamosa.

Two fisherman alerted police to a vehicle in four to five feet of water with one door open and the female driver was missing.

The body of the driver was found a short time later more than a mile downstream.

The Anamosa Community School District identified the victim as 30-year-old Nicole Cox, a guidance counselor for the district.

Counselors at the district will be available for students at the school on Saturday and a candlelight vigil is being held at 8:00 p.m. at Wapsipinicon State Park.

The accident is still under investigation and autopsy results have been ordered.
