PLEA ENTERED: Techel Pleads Not Guilty

The Agency man accused of killing his pregnant wife is pleading not guilty.

Twenty-one-year-old Seth Techel entered a written plea Friday morning in Wapello County. He is charged with first degree murder and nonconsensual termination of a pregnancy.

Techel is accused of shooting and killing his wife Lisa last Saturday. She was five-months pregnant at the time

Authorities say Seth Techel killed her to continue an affair with another woman.

Lisa was a reserve deputy for the Wapello Sheriff’s Department.

Her funeral was held Thursday in Ottumwa.

Seth Techel’s next court appearance is scheduled for June 6th.
