DEADLY ACCIDENT: Two Killed In Western Iowa

The Iowa State Patrol is investigating an accident in western Iowa that killed two people and injured five others.

The crash happened around 9:00 Saturday morning.  Both vehicles were headed northbound on Interstate 29, near the city of crescent. 

One car tried to change lanes and pass the other vehicle when it lost control and struck the vehicle. Both cars rolled several times. 

Eighteen-year-old Alvaro Rodriguez of Omaha, Nebraska and 37-year-old Obed Orozco were both pronounced dead on the scene. 

Five other people were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
