HIT AND RUN: Car Fled Scene Of Accident

Windsor Heights Police are looking for a driver who fled the scene after causing a two car accident on Sunday.

Around 5 p.m., traffic came to a halt on I-235 just past the 63rd street exit. Police say the driver of a PT Cruiser side-swiped a Maxima…that in turn hit a Ford pickup.

The truck rolled over…trapping a passenger inside. Both people in the pickup went to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police arrested the driver of the Maxima for an OWI, while the driver of the maroon PT Cruiser fled the scene.
