Time for FaceOFF.

Keith:

The Dream Team documentary is as good as advertised. I had to watch it online, but it was worth it.

It's a reminder just how awesome that team was with 11 Hall of Famers.

And Christian Laettner.

Andy:

It was like a childhood fantasy...like all of the marvel comics characters in the flesh and on one team...we were so sick of watching the rest of the world field teams of their best players while we left ours in the NBA.

Keith:

Nick Collison of Iowa Falls once co-hosted SoundOFF when I was on vacation.

Nick's a good guy, a great college player, and now sizing up an NBA championship ring.

He doesn't get the run here you might expect, and Andy, isn't it as simple as Collison shunned Iowa and Iowa State... Something well within his rights.

Andy:

The programs were in states of flux, Roy Williams was rolling at Kansas, Collison went with the safe bet, and it paid off for him just fine.  Can't blame the fans here, though, for wondering "what if he'd stayed?"

Keith:

New Iowa Offensive Coordinator Greg Davis says the Hawks will run more wide open, and more no huddle.  How much do Hawk fans love hearing that?

Andy:

They love it more than a cold beer in the middle of Melrose Avenue.  The question is, will Ferentz stick with it through thick and thin?

Keith:

Matt Cain pitched a perfect game Wednesday. The second in the majors this season, fifth no hitter, and we haven't hit the all-star break.

Are no hitters the new shutouts?

Andy:

Pitching is making a huge comeback, no-hitters are becoming like 50-home-run seasons 14 years ago.  But I’m now so jaded, I’m wondering if the pitchers are on the juice.

Keith:

The Iowa Corn Indy 250 won't start until after 9 p.m. Newton time.

It's a fun race, and it won't last much over 90 minutes. Is 9 p.m. too late?

Andy:

It's too late.  The fans will have fun and they'll be good and liquored up, but for kids, for TV, for morning people, it's going to hurt.

Keith:

Andy, you're headed to the Boundary Waters.

This reminds me of those other dozen times you headed to the Boundary Waters.

What's new?

Andy:

This year, we're heading straight across the border into Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario! It's even more remote... hardly any people... wolves, bears, ticks... if you've gotta go you have to run out in the woods, dig a hole and cop a squat!
