An Ankeny father had big plans for the day.  He and his two kids were going to spend the afternoon at Adventureland.  But instead, another gift arrived.

“You can't ask for a better gift on Father’s Day than having a daughter or child born.  It's pretty exciting,” says Bryon Porter.

Baby number three came early and changed their plans.  Bryon and Julie Porter welcomed little Emilia into the world.

She was born six pounds, eleven ounces just before 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning at Mercy.

Dad says they'll have to save Adventureland for next year's Father's Day.

He says, “The kids will live though.  They're not too disappointed; they're pretty excited to have a new little sister.”

Baby Emilia was born almost two weeks early.  She's one of three Father's Day babies at Mercy.
