ESCAPEE CAUGHT: Man Fled From Hospital

A Centerville man is back in police custody after escaping a medical center Wednesday.

Police arrested 37-year-old Rodney Long and his girlfriend 32-year-old Andrea Hendee Wednesday for allegedly stealing items from two Centerville area hotels.

After Long’s arrest he complained of injuries and was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. While at the hospital, Long used the restroom and was able to escape from custody.

He was on the run for about two hours before officers found him again.

He’s now facing a long list of charges including burglary, theft, escape from custody and assault on a peace officer.

Hendee is charged with two counts of third degree burglary, joint criminal conduct, and fourth degree theft.
