RACE READY: Iowa Corn Indy 250 Saturday

This weekend, the Iowa Corn Indy 250 races into Newton at the Iowa Speedway.

Along with the top notch drivers and updates to the track, the man who brought the speedway to Iowa says this will be a race similar to the high impact Indy 500 race earlier this year.

Rusty Wallace says, “And what we saw at the Indy 500 was probably the best Indy 500 I’ve ever seen in my life. So those same drivers, those same cars are going to be here, in Iowa.  And also, something totally different, that has never happened before in the history of Indy car, is on Friday night they’re going to have three 30-lap heat races.”

Tickets for the Iowa Corn Indy 250 on Saturday are nearly sold out.  But you can still get tickets for the heat races Friday night. They range in price from $20 to $60.
