GIT-N-GO ROBBERY: Police Search for Suspect

Des Moines Police are investigating a robbery at a south side convenience store.

It happened just after one this morning at the Git-N-Go at 890 County Line Road, just South of the Blank Park Zoo.

The clerk at the store told police a man came in with a gun and demanded money.

He took the clerk to the back of the store where, police say, he may have thought the safe was.

After returning to the front of the store, the man took money and ran.

The Clerk was not hurt.

Police say at this time they have no suspects, but hope to look at surveillance video later this morning.
