PROPER BURIAL: Dozens Of Iowa Vets Buried

On Friday, 23 Iowans will be given the proper burial they deserve at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.

The cremated remains of 21 Iowa Veterans and two spouses of Veterans will be interred at the Van Meter Cemetery.

The remains will be dedicated with full military honors.

The ceremony is part of a nationwide project called “Missing in America.”

Veterans groups and cemeteries across the country are working to give the unclaimed remains of US Veterans and their families the dignified burial they’ve earned.
