AIRPLANE ACCIDENT: Two Injured In Friday Accident
Two men were injured in a single-engine plane crash in western Iowa.
According to Radio Iowa, the crash happened just after 8:30 p.m. Friday.
The pilot, a 75-year old man from Atlantic and his 59-year old male passenger, also from the Atlantic area, were taking off when the engine stalled. The plane went down in a field about six-miles northwest of Griswold.
Pottawattamie County Sheriff Jeff Danker told Radio Iowa that the pilot suffered a possible broken femur and the passenger’s injuries were likely not serious.
Both men were transported to a hospital in Atlantic. Their names have not been released.
The crash is under investigation.
