FIREWORK CITATIONS: Urbandale Has Zero Tolerance Policy

Urbandale police say fireworks sparked a deck fire there Wednesday.  No one was hurt and there was just minor damage done.

The parents of the juveniles responsible were issued citations.

Urbandale has a zero tolerance policy for illegal fireworks.

Since the beginning of the month, the city has had 25 calls for fireworks.  Eighteen of those came in just Wednesday on the 4th of July.

Authorities say they will continue to be on the lookout for violators.
