TRAIN THREATS: Ames Man Threatens Homeless Men
An Ames man is facing charges for allegedly threatening two homeless men with a gun.
Police say 55-year old Michael Nootz, an engineer for Union Pacific Railroad, threatened to kill two homeless men if they didn’t leave Story County.
Police say Nootz believed the men were part of train gang that had come to Ames.
Nootz is charged with two counts of assault and two counts of harassment.
Those are all misdemeanor charges.
