DROUGHT TALK: Branstad Holding Public Meeting
Gov. Terry Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds will address the dry and drought conditions in Iowa at a public meeting next week in Mount Pleasant.
Portions of Iowa are abnormally dry and facing moderate drought. The high temperatures, combined with little rain, have made for a very dry summer in Iowa.
Officials from several state departments will be on hand to discuss the impact of the dry weather on Iowans. Agricultural groups and environmental experts will also provide insight.
The meeting is being held at the Mount Pleasant High School gym from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17th.
