ESCAPED INMATE: Prisoner Missing In Black Hawk Co.

Police are searching for an escaped inmate in Black Hawk County. 

According to KWWL, the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an escaped inmate from their jail. 

Police say 25-year old Jeremy Mask escaped from jail around 3:00 Thursday afternoon.  Sheriff Tony Thompson says Mask should be considered dangerous and may have robbed a Medicap Pharmacy in Traer after he escaped. 

A red pickup truck, that Mask is believed to have left Waterloo in, was found in Toledo later Thursday.  Police say he may be driving a light blue 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis with Iowa license plate Z 0010. 

Police say the security system was being updated at the time of the escape. 

Anyone seeing Mask or the missing vehicle should immediately call 911.
