PAID OFF: Prairie Meadows Hotel Paid Off

It didn’t take Prairie Meadows long to pay off its brand new hotel.

The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission said Thursday that the Altoona casino pulled in a record $194-million in the last 12 months.

That’s an increase of $5 million in revenue from the previous 12 months.

Prairie Meadows says the big year easily paid for the $32-million casino that opened earlier this year.
