MISSING GIRLS: No Leads In Evansdale Case

The search for two missing Evansdale girls has reached its third day. 

Police are searching for 8-year-old Elizabeth Collins (left) and 10-year-old Lyric Cook (right). 

The search has been extended to an area of 12 square miles.  Rescue crews went by foot, horseback and 4-wheelers along with search and rescue dogs. 

The Cedar River was checked for a distance and nothing was found.  Searchers are also confident the girls are not in the nearby lake.

Police are continuing to do door-to-door searches.

Close to 900 volunteers helped search for the girls Sunday. Police say searchers have not found anything of use.

Authorities will discuss the possibility of another organized search crew starting Monday morning.
