CHASE ENDS: Suspect In Custody

One man is in police custody following a chase Tuesday morning that reached over a hundred miles per hour.

The chase began near Redfield when the Iowa State Patrol located a vehicle believed to contain a man wanted on federal drug charges. When troopers tried to arrest him, the vehicle sped away on Highway 6 toward Waukee.

Troopers were finally able to stop him in Waukee after he drove over stop sticks.

The suspect then got out of the vehicle and ran from police until officers caught him about five blocks away.

The man’s name has not been released by authorities.
