SPECIAL ELECTION: Ankeny Voters Narrow Candidates For City Council
Voters in Ankeny head to the polls Tuesday to help narrow down city council candidates for the August 14th special election.
With only one opening to fill and four people on the ballot, city rules call to narrow down the list of candidates to just two before the August 14th special election.
Bobbi Bentz, Mona Bond, Gary L. Key and Tom Reiland are vying for the position. Voters may vote for only one candidate they would like to see on the special election ballot next month.
Locations of two polling places are changed for both this special primary and the upcoming special election. Ankeny 10- Lakeside Center will be moved to Ankeny Fire Department Headquarters Training Center, and Ankeny 13- Westwood Elementary will be moved to Ankeny Baptist Church. The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
