BUS ACCIDENT: School Bus Rear-Ends Van

Four people were injured after a school bus rear-ended a van near Ankeny. 

According to the Des Moines Register, three children and one adult were taken to local hospitals Wednesday after a school bus carrying around 20 children rear-ended a Culligan work van on Northwest 35^th Street. 

It happened around 3:23 p.m.  The driver of the bus says he couldn’t stop in time and crashed into the back of the van.

Another bus transported the remaining children to the Ankeny Fire Department, where their parents picked them up. 

The accident is still under investigation.
