TRADE TRIP: South America Visit For Branstad

Gov. Terry Branstad leaves for South America Saturday on a trade trip to increase trade opportunities for Iowa.

The governor is visiting Brazil and Chile during his trip, which runs through July 28^th. Brazil is the 6^th largest trading partner for Iowa with exports of more than $527 million in 2011.

The governor hopes to expand trade opportunities by 20-percent in Brazil and Chile for Iowa companies.

Iowa companies were given the option of participating in the trip.
