TRADE TRIP: South America Visit For Branstad
Gov. Terry Branstad leaves for South America Saturday on a trade trip to increase trade opportunities for Iowa.
The governor is visiting Brazil and Chile during his trip, which runs through July 28th. Brazil is the 6th largest trading partner for Iowa with exports of more than $527 million in 2011.
The governor hopes to expand trade opportunities by 20-percent in Brazil and Chile for Iowa companies.
Iowa companies were given the option of participating in the trip.
