The grandmother of two missing Evansdale cousins says she’s baffled as to why the girls rode their bikes so far.  Wylma Cook was babysitting 8-year-old Elizabeth Collins and 10-year-old Lyric Cook at the time of their disappearance on July 13th.

Authorities found the girls’ bikes more than a mile from their grandmother’s home near Meyer’s Lake.

Wylma cook tells the Associated Press that the girls occasionally rode bikes, but they usually stayed close to home.

Authorities told reporters that they wouldn’t be holding daily press conferences after Tuesday.

They say they’re interviewing several boaters who were on the lake the day the girls disappeared.

Authorities are telling parents in eastern Iowa to keep a close eye on their kids.
