SHOTS FIRED: East Des Moines Home Hit
Neighbors in a Des Moines neighborhood say they were shaken after someone shot at a home multiple times early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the 1000 Block of East 9th Street at 3:30 AM.
No one was injured, but there were multiple bullet holes in the front of the house.
Neighbors told police they believe the shooting may have resulted from a custody battle.
“In the beginning, I didn’t think anything of it because I heard a couple of pops that sounded like a firework. The second time, it went even longer and even my kids heard it. That’s how bad it was,” said Des Moines resident, Vanly Vongsai.
Witnesses say the suspects fled towards I-235. No arrests have been made.
