It has been one year since crews responded to a house fire that led to an unsolved murder and a missing person’s case.

A fire destroyed Bill and Kay Wood’s home near Indianola on July 30th last year. Crews later found Bill’s body inside the home and an autopsy found he had been shot to death

Kay has never been found.

Last month, the Wood’s children told Channel 13 they are hoping someone will still come forward to help the investigation.

The last solid lead came shortly after the fire, when police found Bill`s truck in Kansas City. Police released a picture of a man witnesses say they saw near the truck. He is still considered a person of interest.

The reward for information is now up to $8,000.
