MORE BREAK-INS: Police Investigate String Of Robberies

West Des Moines police are investigating an increase in car break-ins.

Authorities say thieves are stealing items from cars in apartment complexes, restaurants, parks and shopping centers.

Police are urging people to keep windows rolled up, and to park in busy, well-lit areas.

Polk County Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to arrests.
