CREDIT UNION: Suspect Sought In Robbery

Des Moines police are investigating a robbery at a credit union Wednesday afternoon.

The robbery happened at the Edco Community Credit Union at 609 38^th Street. Police say around 1:08 p.m. a white male entered the credit union and gave a note demanding money to a teller. He left on foot, heading northbound.

The suspect is in his 30s to 40s, five-foot-eight to six-foot tall, 170-180 pounds. He had short dark hair and a dark beard and mustache. Police say the facial hair may have been fake.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken in the robbery.

Police have not yet released an image of the suspect from surveillance video.
