COUPLES RETURN: Special Day For Little Brown Church

Sunday marked a special anniversary for a northeast Iowa church that’s married thousands of couples over the years.

The Little Brown Church has held weddings in Nashua for the past 157-years, and for the last 60 years some couples have returned each summer to renew their vows.

Sunday, the church held its own anniversary celebration. More than 100 couples renewed their vows and one couple even celebrated their own 60th anniversary

“I was 17 and he was 20.  We just decided to come here and get married.  And I think it’s just a special, special place,” said Marilyn Randall.

More than 73,000 couples have married at the Little Brown Church.
