MITCHELLVILLE WATER: Safe For Use

The water main break in Mitchellville has been corrected and the water boil order has been lifted.

A break happened Tuesday causing city officials to advise Mitchellville residents to conserve and boil water for use.

The city’s water system was able to maintain pressure, so conservation became unnecessary, but the boil order remained in effect into the weekend.  

The water main was repaired, and tests were conducted. The city reported that the water was safe to drink again and apologized for the inconvenience.
