BAR STABBING: Two Transported To Hospital

Customers at an Eastside Des Moines bar got a scare as two people were stabbed.

Des Moines Police showed up at the Some Place Else Bar at 1833 Hubbell before 10 pm Saturday night.

When they arrived they found two victims with stab wounds, one suffering from a stab wound to the neck, the other a stab wound to the face.

Both victims were transported to the hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. 

Police say the attacker left the bar, but they say thanks to witnesses, he didn’t get far.

“Officers broadcasted the suspect vehicle, it’s my understanding that may have been located with the suspect inside, still early in the investigation of course we’re still talking to witnesses and hope to talk to the victims as well as the suspects in this investigation,” says Lt. David Ness with the Des Moines Police Department.

Police say they believe it was a fight that broke out on the back patio of the bar that led to the stabbings.
