PASTOR TRIAL: Edouard Sexual Abuse Case

The trial is underway for a former pastor from Pella accused of sexual abuse.

Patrick Edouard faces three charges of third degree sexual abuse and four counts of sexual exploitation by a counselor. He is accused of using his influential position as a pastor to rape three women and sexually assault a fourth.

A judge moved the trial from Marion County to Dallas County, due in part to pre-trial publicity.  A jury was selected Monday afternoon and opening statements will take place Tuesday morning.

Edouard’s trial had been rescheduled four times.
