A Waterloo woman could spend the next five years in prison for a hit and run crash that severely injured a motorcyclist.
Police say 22-year old Jennifer Moeller was texting when she crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed into a motorcyclist. Moeller didn’t stop to check on the victim, and instead drove another 10-miles on a flat tire.
The victim, 47-year old Noan Nicholson suffered a broken collarbone, broken ribs, and lost part of her left leg.
Moeller was charged with causing serious injury by vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident.
