BOIL ORDER: Main Fixed But Boone Still Under Boil Order

City officials in Boone say a water main is repaired, but the boil order is still in place.

The main at Mamie Eisenhower Avenue between Boone and Story Streets broke Wednesday.

The leak is now fixed, but the city still needs to restore water pressure and test the water.  That’s a two-day process.  So the boil order will remain until at least Saturday.

Water for drinking, ice, brushing teeth and preparing food should all be boiled.
