A Huxley mother entered a guilty plea Thursday in the murders of her newborn twins.
Twenty-two-year-old Jackie Burkle pleaded guilty to two charges of second degree murder Thursday and received her sentencing. She had originally been charged with two counts of first degree murder in the case.
Investigators found the bodies of Burkle’s twin girls in the trunk of her car on January 6th. Officials have not released the causes of death in the case.
Burkle was sentenced to two 50 year terms in prison to be served concurrently. She has to serve a minimum of 35 years in prison until she’ll be eligible for parole.
