A woman reported missing from Sioux City last week is back home after she told law enforcement officials she was kidnapped and brought to Marshalltown.

Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies found the victim walking along a Marshalltown road Wednesday night after she called them from a nearby home. She told authorities her alleged abductor was in a vacant farm home on Oaks Avenue.

Authorities found and arrested 36-year-old Dayton Sabasta of Sioux City. He’s charged with kidnapping and burglary among other things.

But the investigation didn’t end there. Authorities began looking for others allegedly involved in stealing the victim’s car.

Officials spotted the car in Marshalltown and the driver led authorities on a high speed chase.

It went through three counties and ended in Traer after officials used stop sticks.

Authorities arrested 34-year-old Shaun Gienger and 25-year-old Katie Tremmel both of Marshalltown.

Gienger is charged with felony eluding, traffic charges and drug charges.

Tremmel faces drug charges.
