More than a thousand people at the Iowa State Fair Friday got to taste some homegrown Iowa sweet corn for free.
The 1,200 ears of sweet corn were distributed by the Iowa State Fair Board. The corn was provided by Deardorff Farms of Adel. The sweet corn feed is an annual tradition at the fair.
The corn was ready at 11:00 a.m. and The line was long to get the sweet summer treat. The supply only lasted about an hour, meaning some people in line missed out.
