CANDIDATE VISIT: Plant Prepares For Romney Visit
Workers at LeClaire Manufacturing spent Tuesday preparing for presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
Co-presidents Ralph and Ron Zimmerman spoke with the Secret Service about setting up for the Wednesday visit.
The Zimmerman family owns an aluminum foundry in Bettendorf.
The family didn’t know about the Romney visit until Saturday. By Monday, crews were already getting things ready.
Romney is scheduled to be at the LeClaire Manufacturing Plant on 62nd street in Bettendorf Wednesday at 12:00 p.m.
