AFTERNOON ACCIDENT: Car Drives Through Building

One person was taken to the hospital after a car slammed into a convenience store Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 4:00 p.m. in the Drake neighborhood at the corner of 21st and Forest.

Police say the driver of a Prius went through a stop sign and slammed into a truck before driving into a building.

The owner of the store was taken to the hospital after police say he was hit by falling debris. 

The driver of the Prius was ticketed.
